Topshop does it again...

After seeing this dress on the pages of Grazia and look magazine and trawling the website and shop for weeks, I finally got my hands on it. It ticks off all my favourite trends I've been raving about: peter pan collar, plum pattern and midi skirt!
I wore it with gorgeous plum leather with wooden heel shoes which were a steal from Next. For my make up I vamped it up with dark berry lips and wore my hair in a messy updo to reveal the beauty of the dress. I also loved the ruby red glitter powder I got for my nails from Superdrug (Even though it was quite messy).

All in all I think this dress is a must have! I can't wait to wear it with flats or boots and a big fur coat!

The Wig Factor

For me, fashion is all about experimenting. With clothes, shoes, accessories, make up and everything else in between. I love changing into a new character with each outfit. But why stop there? A new hairstyle can completely alter your look. Too scared for the chop? Then take my advice and buy a wig!

Fashion is about having fun, so why not follow in the footsteps of the likes of Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj and change your hairstyle day to day. Experiment with colour, cut and length and when you find the perfect style for you, you can be assured you will have no regrets on your next visit to the hairdressers.

Here's a sneak preview of a very special Rubie Locks photoshoot where I experimented with a ginger bob wig.

Plum is the new black

As the Autumn/ Winter collections hit the shops the excitement of all the new season trends is overwhelming. But if your feeling bewildered by it all my top tip is pick purple. I can't get enough of it! It is the perfect winter colour and a nice change from harsh black. So experiment with every shade- from indigo to plum. Pick fur collared coats, cloche hats, midi dresses and shoe boots in your favourite purple to be fashion ready for the cold weather!

Here's me in a little purple number from Ebony Jacob in Ormskirk - plus I'm working the collar trend with my pearl collar from Topshop!

Its all about the collar

As winter is starting to creep in and the new collections of wooly jumpers and winter coats hit the shops the excitement of only 100 days until Christmas is growing. But, what do you do when the weather isn't quite cold enough to enjoy the new collections we can't wait to get our hands on?
Well, the solution is the trusty collar! They are everywhere and there is so many ways to wear them. Why not update last years leather jacket with a detachable fur collar such as the ones found on ASOS? Or layer up last seasons dress with a cute shirt underneath? The geek chic trend is huge and especially now the school term has just started. Experiment with clashing colours and layer jumpers with a peter pan collar peaking out from underneath. Collars have now even become a fashion accessory of their own. For a quirky finishing touch for your Saturday night outfit why not add a jewelled collar like the ones seen in Miss selfridge? To give your collar even more of a quirky edge tie a bow with clashing fabrics. Remember- experiment and have fun! This trend is an easy transition until we can get back to our winter woolies so enjoy it!
